Chef Joseph Gomez has earned plenty of local love since opening his permanent trailer on Celis Brewery's lot. Everything is served out of the small, orange trailer, and while there are a few picnic tables here, most guests choose to find a seat on the brewery's patio (and sip a beer). Like the trailer, the menu is compact, focusing primarily on tacos with a few tostadas and bites like frijoles. Whatever you do, don't call this Tex-Mex. Instead, this is the food of the border towns, or "comida frontera," and shares the culinary traditions of Northeast Mexican and the Rio Grande Valley. It's all good, but the carnitas are a standout. Opt for the tostada and get it before it sells out—the brewery's robust event schedule means it's often packed here.
