Hewn out of the rock, not far from the old city walls, it is accessible by a footpath to the right of the pedestrian promenade. It accommodates different types of early-Christian sepulchres, with single recesses and arcosolium tombs (hollows with an arc-shaped recess above), as is characteristic of catacombs.
