The main railway station is located near the zoo and dates back to 1905. It was built according to designs by L de La Censerie. Atop its two neo-Barque monumental façades is an enormous 60m cupola that can be seen from miles around. The inside, refurbished with a view to accommodating Thalys trains on ultra-modern underground platforms, brings a contemporary touch and a spectacular aspect to the place.
