A stroll down this long main street brings to mind the towns of the late 19C and early 20C. The street is lined with major historicist and Secessionist buildings bearing witness to the city's former prosperity, interspersed with pleasant cafés like Café Hazard. Note Cenad palace (1894), Aurel Vlaicu University, the national bank palace with its pistachio green façade, and Ardealul mansion.
