The Museum of Urban Planning highlights the development that Beijing has experienced, through old photos showing images of historic Beijing and its hutong, and a giant model depicting the layout of the city in 2008. The museum also showcases models of the Business District (CCTV Tower), the Olympic Village and the airport's third terminal, as well as a futuristic show apartment, designed for the city's new high-rise buildings. To complete the visit, a 3D film charts the history of the city.
