Begun in 1722 in a refined Baroque style, it was not finished until 1853, in a neo-Classical style. The façade has a juxtaposition of concave and convex surfaces flanked by two towers with small temples resembling two astronomical observatories on top. The interior, in the shape of a Latin cross and with an ambulatory, will come as a surprise to visitors on account of its size and brightness.
