This most striking of the Morvan's rivers is a tributary of the Yonne, although its drainage basin is more extensive. In the undulating region of the Morvan regional nature park, the Cure is a sport river, popular with canoeists. Its lower course is peaceful as far up as Cravant, where it rushes over rocks and becomes a classic trout river.
