Font-Romeu means Pilgrim's fountain, which is the hermitage's name. Highlights inside the 17C-18C chapel include a fine altarpiece by Josep Sunyer (1707): the central niche houses the statue of Notre Dame of Font-Romeu, or, when it is in Odeillo, that of the 15C Virgin of the Hermitage. Climb the staircase to the Camaril, the small room of the Virgin, a masterpiece by Sunyer. The miraculous fountain is on the left of the chapel's entrance.
