Belgium's largest design collection is housed in the former Hôtel de Coninck (18C), to which a contemporary wing has been added. Entitled "Object Stories", the new exhibition comprises a remarkable collection of 200 objects and items of furniture dating from 1805 to the present day. Exhibits are organised according to major themes (Commissions and commissioners, Making matters, Responsible objects etc) which allow visitors to understand the context in which they were produced. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions.
