Designed to fit beneath the office of Grants' city visitor center, accessed via elevator through a small mining museum, is a replica of a uranium mine. Uranium was discovered in the Grants area in 1950. This replica mine includes real drilling equipment and passages for mine cars to remove rocks. It is the only underground uranium-mining museum in the world.
