Just past Upper Water Street, the pedestrian area between Duke Street and the Cogswell interchange is commonly known as Historic Properties. Several 18C warehouses and buildings now house artist's studios, restaurants and pubs, whose terraces overlook the harbour. A boardwalk leads to Pier 21, popular for its permanent summer festival vibe.
