This international business centre with offices, shops, services and housing, a conference centre (Lille Grand Palais) and an 8ha urban park (Parc Henri Matisse) extends around Lille Europe - the TGV and Eurostar station bestrode by two towers: Tour Lilleurope WTC by Claude Vasconi and the Tour de Lille designed by Christian de Portzamparc). The Euralille Centre (with glass façades and a perforated metallic roof) is by Jean Nouvel. On the esplanade, the Tulipes de Shangri-La (Yayoi Kusama) have become one of the symbols of the city.
