The tip of the tiny peninsula, situated near the centre of Mandal, is a protected site boasting a beautiful south-facing beach known as Sjøsanden. The graceful curve of this stretch of golden sand around a small open bay is highlighted by a row of dark green bushes covered with flowers in season. Although it's crowded in summer, this superb ribbon of sand may well be all yours at other times of year.
