Courtroom 600 of the Nuremberg Palace of Justice is famous the world over as the scene of the trial of the main Nazi leaders between 20 November 1945 and 1 October 1946. Unless a hearing is underway (this is still a working courthouse), visitors can sit in the courtroom for a few moments before going to the upper floor, where an informative exhibition unpicks the historical context of the trial, its twists and turns and its impact on the foundations of The Hague's international law.
