Catetinho, a wooden building painted white and standing on piles, is distinctive for the purity and simplicity of its Modernist lines. Designed by Niemeyer and built in 1956 in record time, it was the modest residence of President Kubitschek during the construction of Brasília. There is a small museum with photos and objects from that era.
