At the end of the 15C, the chevet of the old Romanesque Gothic cathedral (13C-14C) was demolished to make way for a new building of which only the chancel and transept were completed. Inside this building dating from different periods, note the altarpiece decorated with statues by Gregorio Fernández (17C) and the stalls by Rodrigo Alemán (1520).
