Among the warehouses and building sites on the seafront stands this 16C castle. The 15C guardroom and stronghouse are linked by 16C buildings which close off three sides of an interior courtyard. The castle has a fine roof. Inside, there is a straight flight of stairs, a large room with a splendid Renaissance chimney and the remains of 16C painted ceilings.
