Located near to Fort Saint-Louis, Place d'Armes (1620) originally served as grounds for military drills and parades, but lost its military function in the early 19C. Today it is a lovely green square bordered by prestigious buildings at the centre of which is the Monument of Faith, a Gothic Revival sculpture standing atop a fountain.
