Not far from the border, Lake Pape is a saline lagoon with landscapes resembling France's Camargue region. Many migratory birds (more than 200 species) take up residence here between August and November. The area is also a habitat for wild horses that have been reintroduced. Various trails have been laid out, to explore on foot or by bike, in order to get closer to the local fauna and flora (orchids).
