The diversity (oak, beech, fir, Scotch pines and spruce) of the majestic forest of Écouves, between Sées and Alençon, is home to "stars". A number of tourist facilities have been added, including a trail that leads to the Rendez-vous crossroads. At the Croix-de-Médavy crossroads, a marker signals the battle of Normandy. The Beacon of Écouves (altitude 417m/1,368ft) is one of highest points in Western France with that of the beacon of Avaloirs.
