Strandvägen is without doubt the most elegant thoroughfare in Stockholm, where the masts of old boats line the quayside in front of an eclectic mix of palaces and private mansions (late 19C). These elegant properties were once owned by wealthy industrialists, wood barons and press magnates. Make sure you spend some time in the Nobel Park, where specimens of most of Sweden's deciduous trees can be admired.
