This superb building located between Fossgate and Piccadilly, near the houses dating back to the Middle Ages, belonged to the Holy Trinity Merchant Adventurers. This guild was the richest and most powerful in York, which explains the presence of a private chapel, a rarity. The Great Hall is the most spectacular room, with its double nave-shaped timber frame, 30m long and 15m high.
