The Huitoto, who are originally from the Amazon jungle, are recent arrivals in Los Llanos. They are one of the largest indigenous groups in Colombia. Talented craftsmen, they create items such as masks, capachos (traditional maracas), blowguns and jewellery using dyed bark cloth, seeds and nuts. At this cultural centre, visitors get to attend traditional dances and ceremonies, listen to stories and taste their culinary specialties.
