These gorges, the result of a huge flaw, are home to the oldest baroque spa of Switzerland; the brave spa tourists of the era would descend on ropes to take its then untamed waters. In the baroque style, the old Pfäfers baths may still be seen in the gorge. Closed in 1969, they now house an interesting museum relating to the site. A sound and light show illuminates the site on summer evenings during the Light Ragaz Festival.
