The Palau del Marquès de Llió is very much part of the Catalan Gothic tradition with its central patio, a staircase leading to the "noble floor" (the occupants' living quarters), and a ground floor for the servants' quarters. Its current appearance is the result of remodelling work carried out in the 18C. On the upper floor, an open gallery was used to spread out hanks of wool. Along with the elegant Palau Nadal next door, it houses the fascinating Museum of World Cultures.
