This reproduction of characteristic buildings from Spain's different regions was built for the 1929 World Fair. Fanning out from the Plaza Mayor, with its wide arcades and the setting for fairs and folklore festivals, you'll find Mallorcan-style markets, Baroque façades from Valencia, Galician houses, Castilian squares and a typical neighbourhood from Andalucia. The village is also home to thirty or so boutiques and workshops, plus a contemporary art foundation in which major Spanish artists from the 1950s to the present day are represented.
