Under the Occupation, some hundred Resistance fighters were executed behind the walls of the citadel. Denise Lorach, a deportee, chose this location that the Second World War did not leave unscathed to set up this deeply moving retrospective on the Resistance and deportation. Photos, posters, documents, letters, drawings by prisoners and other items relate the rise of the Nazi regime, the concentration camps, the Resistance and the liberation of France.
