Steps hewn out of the rock lead to Bacho Kiro Cave, located at the end of a shaded path which starts from Dryanovo monastery. First explored in 1890, this cave has revealed traces of human settlement dating from the Palaeolithic period. The visit (choice of 350m or 700m tours) is depicted by several chambers, some of impressive dimensions. During the visit, beware of the slippery ground and low ceilings.
