These docks house an exact replica of Sir Francis Drake's galleon, the Golden hinde. The famous ship was Christened with mead and launched in 1973. You can visit the vessel, when it is not on the water. Guided by a crewmember you can see the cabins, quarters, kitchens and hold. Francis Drake (around 1540-1596) discovered California on this vessel and was, on his return, honoured with a visit from Elizabeth I, who promptly knighted him.
