Crystalline waters, immense spaces and unspoilt beauty... On the border of Yunnan and Sichuan, Lake Lugu has long been cut off from the world, a remote location favourable to the preservation of an ancestral way of life perpetuated by the Mosuo, Naxi, Pumi, Tibetan and Yi peoples. In October 2015 Ninglang Luguhu airport was inaugurated, heralding an active future for commercial flights. Tourism at Lake Lugu is likely to take on a new dimension.
