The hand of Victor Sassoon, the owner of the famous Peace Hotel, is also evident at the Jinjiang Hotel (1929). With its noble Victorian façade, this hotel is a worthy contemporary of its more famous neighbour. Set a little further back, Grosvenor House (1935), a building showing Art Deco influence, has hosted political guests such as Ronald Reagan and François Mitterand.
