The Maglev, the first train in the world to run via magnetic levitation (in operation since 2003), reaches speeds of 300km/hr and links Longyang Lu station and the international airport in just seven minutes (a distance of 30km). Designed by the Germans, the train has a maximum speed of 700km/hr. An esplanade has been laid out in Lonyang station to allow visitors to observe the lightning acceleration of the train after departure.
