The most populous of the three Gili islands and the nearest to the Lombok coast offers the best compromise between tourist facilities and tourists themselves. You can easily choose between a secluded retreat or opt for the south or east coasts where the majority of the island's losmen (cheap hotels) and restaurants are located. Most have been rebuilt off the beach surrounded by coconut trees.
