The Prehistoric Park is devoted to cave paintings and the life of the Magdalenians. It illustrates the world of the decorated caves through photographs, videos and excellent reconstructions, including a large painted panel from the Marscoulas Cave, the Clastres network from Niaux Cave, and a facsimile of the Black Room in Niaux. Next is a short film on excavation and dating methods. The tour continues outside, where you can try your hand at various Magdalenian techniques such as hunting, wall painting and stone carving.
