This museum looks out over the town hall's cour d'honneur (courtyard). Its neo-Classical interior architecture resembles a 19C cabinet of curiosities. Fine collections of stuffed animals are housed in the large gallery, most notably, the first elephant to have been brought to Belgium in 1839 and the world's largest living crab (130kg!). You can round off your visit with a look at some 70 species living in the vivarium.
