The redevelopment of the maritime area of Valencia is a sign of Valencians' reconquering of their coastline. The industrial port has been converted into a lively marina, the superb beaches have been laid out, and many buildings have been refurbished: in a few years, Valencia has become a very pleasant seaside resort. A symbol of this success is the elegant "Veles e Vents", the America's Cup building to the north of the port, whose belvedere area offers a magnificent viewpoint over the sea.
